“I had been through a lot, and it seemed to me that I was useless. But now I am completely different, I feel accomplished. Through MIN’s Museum of Things Art Group, I felt great support. I feel happy, especially that we became a nice community and family as well, despite all our different backgrounds. This passion for creativity brought us together.
The project made us feel responsible for all our efforts, and it gave me motivation. I felt that I changed my routine because of it and benefited a lot from the sessions. The greatest thing was that we can all see each other every week, that was so amazing.
The most powerful moment for me was when our exhibition was completed. I was very proud and it was a great achievement; I felt that team effort. We became a beautiful community that shares a love for art.
The difference is clear in terms of my mental health. I am very proud being one of the participants, it helped me by giving me a good space to express myself, as I was completely introverted before. The project helped me to develop my confidence to apply for art school, and in 2023 I gained a place at Glasgow School of Art.”
